Windy Willows

Hello fellow bike fans,

Windy Willows is the name my wife picked out for our place.
We do get the wind at times.
One mile from the Pacific, the wind can howl in from the north in summer,
And the winter storms can blow the roof off, from the south.

Only been here 3 years. We both love the weather patterns here.
The weather does not stagnate.
Even with the salt air that brings rust.

To the south, no buildings yet.
To the west, nothing built yet.
To the east, no buildings, just trees and shrubs.

Lots of Willows, that blow in the wind.

To the north, a few houses, good neighbors, and two blocks away, the fire station.

When they fly "Old Glory" it's hard to miss.
And easy to remember what country we are living in, even with the pile of current troubles.

Been way busy with "summer' , outdoor stuff. Have not found time for bike builds.

but there is a small fence, right where we talked about putting it, Cathie's garden is growing,
the big "stump" that was blocking access has been cut out and gravel covered, have built some
shelf storage for fishing gear and the rods have been safely mounted where we have easy access.

And the old boat trailer that was under "cari - cari ", the grey farm shed seen in the background,
has been pulled out from under the shed for future use. And the shed is now safely set on blocks.
This job alone was about 4 days worth.

Plus, have had some strange computer glitch with the forum. RRB loaded fine, but the forum
came up about 1/3 rd the size in the middle of the screen. Too small to read.
Just found some "other" way to access the site.

So, are the fence, garden, stump, fishing rods, boat trailer and shed on blocks worth pics,
or are "too many words " enough ?

Had the camera out for the "Next" bike that was dropped off, so went ahead
and took pics of the other things mentioned above.
first , the fence, a used fence but new to us, and arbors to grow climbing roses.

Double take on the missing stump.
With that gone, I can now open the man door, have spread the gravel out and can drive by or
park in that spot.
The fishing rods have been out of reach since we moved in here, on a rack up high that
needed a ladder to get to.
now right at hand and on dispay.
Tackle boxes now have a home too.
An added bonas, most of the ridable bikes have a new home where any one can be reached
for a ride.

Don't want to leave out the new red paint on the old shop building.
Bought the paint 2 years ago, just now using it.

When we moved there was just too much to take.
One way to bring some was to build this "farm shed" on an old boat trailer.
The idea was to eventually lift off the shed, and use the trailer somewhere else.

Now have a trailer frame to work with, and a shed on blockes.

Last is the addition of new wheels / hubs and tires for the bike cart farm trailer.
Dorky yellow hubs and "fan" laced radial spokes on heavy-wide steel rims, with red
spoke nipples, dosn't fit my idea of useful bike wheels,
but they sure fit on this cart.
Hope to paint the cart soon.
