I saw this in front of a house close to where my mom is living. I stopped and asked the owner if she would sell it and she flat turned me down. I asked if I could make an offer, but she said NO !
pretty ratty, but frame was straight and tank was in great shape. It also had the fold down rear stand and skip tooth sprocket and chain. I thought this would have made a good build off bike.

Nice! I could do a lot with that bike. A couple spokes, tires, and a pedal and it's on the road. One handed riding though.

It's prewar, and must have sentimental value.

I feel ya. I’ve got a coworker with a bike hanging in his grandmas barn. He won’t even talk about selling it to me. He said the bike belongs right where it hangs.

Just rolled past one with Ingola yesterday. A guy we both know has a complete Canadian camelback, original paint, just fading away in the garden. I've been trying to rescue it for a while, maybe with Ingola applying pressure from another angle, we'll be able to break it loose, but I have doubts. This guy has a tight grip

Even if the bike wasn’t restorable, there are so many parts I could have used, tank, chain guard, rear hub, skip tooth chain, fenders, rear rack, seat. Oh well, like The Rolling Stones sang, “you can’t always get want you want”
