Thought I would put the Chicago Monthly Ride pics all together on one page
This was the first year of doing the Monthly Ride, Had a blast! met some GREAT People!
Learned a lot......never make a left turn Sorry Vicki (XC204's Wife)
Thanks to everyone who came out to ride
I had a blast with all of you!
big shout out to bikeriderx for making the 100mile drive in from Benton Harbor mi
and all the Indiana guys who came in!

The first thing i will do next year is take a group photo with bikes and riders

Started in March Just the Three of us

Had a great turn out in April

In May we started on the Lakefront (man it was cold!)

July didn't happen
But August was a Blast! Perfect weather! hot and sunny. The three of us XC204,bikeriderx.and myself had a great day on the Lakefront!

Copenhagen bikes on Milwaukee Ave....they sell high end European style bikes
The guy working the shop (don't remember his name :roll: ) could not have been nicer
and was very impressed with Gary's Grandpa Rock Hopper

That looks likea blast and a half! I'm up in milwaukee, WI, not too far from you. I'd love to come down sometime! One question tho: how are you gettin the bikes into the city? I assume you haul them somewhere in cars/trucks/vans and park the vehicles somewhere maybe? It would be an awfully long bike ride from here otherwise!

Thanks! We do have a blast It would be awesome if you could come down! Lots of guys haul the bikes with there cars,

Maybe there is other local Milwaukee Members who would be willing to drive down with you

One great way to get into the city is on the Metra train, bikes are welcome!

I think the closest Station to you is Kenosha, http://metrarail.com/content/metra/en/h ... n/map.html

Not sure how to get from Milwaukee to Kenosha :roll:

Wow, what great pictures. I was born in Chicago. It would be so cool to ride down town along lake shore drive. Thanks for the photos. I found Google earth and did a walk of the old neighbor hood. I lived at 11336 South lowel avenue in Roseland. near 113th & Michigan Ave. Its been about 20 years since I was there. Great town.
