Yes, glass beads.
You might be able to find a welding shop with a blast cabinet that could do it for you. With most of it done already, it might not cost very much at all.

I think I got just about all of it. But thank you. If I ever do a bare-metal build again, I will definitely look into that method.

That fork gives the whole bike a mean stance :cool2:

I do like it, but I’m thinking I might use this one instead ...

The difference for me it the space around the tire.

Fork # 1 makes the wheel look too skinny IMO.

I'll probably be usin a fork like that on my build.
Because, right now, that's what I have. I got some chrome cantilevers for it.

You've got that Schwinn camelback frame looking sweet already. Have fun!

This build features the 71’ Schwinn Racer frame that I used in my first build off (BONINE). It doesn’t get the love it deserves ( no one rides it ), so I’m going to turn it into a 3-speed klunker and hopefully give it new life and “get it on” the trail.

Bikes were made for riding ????? Seems like all I do is work on
them !

Doing a little work on the drive train while the linseed oil dries. Replaced the stock 19t cog for a 13t and I’m trying a 28t sprocket up front.

I think I am running the same chain ring/rear cog combo on mine. I really like how it looks. This bike is really looking great!

I had a similar set up on another bike ( 13-25 ). While I liked it for gravel paths, I think the 28 will make it more versatile.

Question for linseed oil experts... I think I laid it on too thick, because it’s still tacky after 5 days... please advise.
