I messed with the idea od cutting the tops and sweeping them back but how it looked in my head did not seem good, so why not just bend them? Sort of a cross between an elf bar and a cw.

Fork needs to be trimmed down, seat post and final frame bits are next!!!!
Made the seat post today. 3/4 square w/ a 5/8 thick round tube inserted inside so it's will be less likely to bend. It may still bend...And of course a coaster brake tab....

My plan is to paint the bike black and go with blue ano highlights. I have a couple sets of tires, cranks, and pedals to choose from. Right now I am leaning towards black ties, cranks and the blue chain ring set up which will need a touch up. I like the blue pedals over the batwings. The seat is leather, in a bag that I soap up with a leather treatment and keep for a year before I try and use them. My rule is to only pay no more than 5 bucks for one and we'll see from there. Many of them survive for a time and some tear in half after a block of seat time. Usually you can put your thumb in one and feel it to see if it will survive. A leather saddle can look prestine but be dry as a bone and fail after sitting on it for 20 yards. So I hoard them and keep them in storage like one would a fine wine.
Could not wait, so after work I threw it together and rode it, tracks nice, you can take your hands off of it and it will go true. You jump off a curb and it registers on the Richter scale, fork must be five pounds alone. Looks way better than I thought, I figured I was making the ugliest bmx cruiser ever (may still claim that esteemed accolade) I guess I can tear it down and do the finish work and lay some paint on it. Enjoy.!

Man, it looks brutal in the raw. Would you consider leaving it unpainted? I bought a paste from a Mustang parts supplier (npd) which protects raw metal. I have used it on tie rod ends and other cast parts and they still look good. Just heat up the metal a little and rub it on.

It does look good raw, I will contemplate it for sure. I think shiny black would look good too...

Way too cool! How much do you suppose it weighs?
I think the fork is 5 pounds alone... not sure how I'm going to weigh it, I'm guessing mid to high 40lbs range.

Weigh yourself, then with your bike.
The bike will look different at any time.
Would be extra mean in flat black or military green and bright orange to the person who has little in common.
Was kind of hoping this would get me to reconsider square tube. It got made from scratch for a reason... There are not many like it.

I was inspired by a friend that had a very clean gt 26 bmx that was black/blue. I looked at my stable of BMX cruisers and I don't have one in that color scheme. I have a black/black JTT Stroker two wheeler and my article 1
is Black/gold (very faded at this point) so why not black & blue? The bike looks like a bruiser so I think it is a good fit. Hoping, if weather permits, to have this all done by next week and off my plate.

You should try an internal threadless headset design in another version with a block ahead stem that sits flush on the square head tube. The frame looks quite nice actually... Why am I experiencing deja vu? never mind that part. Black & blue is a good combo

Paint is coming along. I used some Metalkast "anno in a can baby" for the stem clamps. I know the purists scoff at such things but I think it looks good, I wanted to add a touch of blue somewhere besides to the wheels and chain ring to balance out the colors a bit. Once piece crank from a huffy works just fine for me. Not using much of my vintage stash on this one... It is a novelty bike after all and I may just hang it up in the shop after I put a few hundred miles on it because it will make a great conversation piece.
