I love rat rod vehicles. So when I see a totally cut up 59 Chevy I don't think; "Awe there goes another chance at restoration." I think, "That's a sweet 59!" So really are there any "Holy Grail" bikes that shouldn't get chopped? Probably but I don't know what they are and the likelihood of one landing in my lap are thin to none. So I've never bat an eye at doing whatever I wanted to a bike. Rat on brothers, rat on! Stop sniffing that cork and get you a big o' swig!

I've got a 33 Schwinn that I wouldn't cut up. But then again it's pretty shabby and I wouldn't restore it, guess that makes it a RAT.

OK I give up! Frame and fenders are going to powder coat (rims are already there). I can paint with satin or flat but gloss @#$%&×! I'm trying to get this done by April 29th for a show. Going with illsuion purple, rims are going to be black. Only bummer is the tank. It can't be powder coated because of the Bondo. I've been told you can get a powder color put in a spray can. If not I'll finger something out.

Lace table cloth or lace material from a fabric store. The other side didn't turn out as well. That's the problem, getting stretched over irregular surfaces. I was planning on spraying over the top with purple Dupli-color Metalcraft. Wish me luck.

I've seen lace used as a mask for spray paint, really cool effect when the fabric is removed
