It appears I missed the window to vote.
Probably going to see all 3 categories this winter. Just ironing out the details over these next few weeks

Thought for moment Muscle & OR were gonna duke it out.

Welcome to the party @Palepainter.

Lol I was planning on doing a skinny build on 26x1.75 tires!!
What I call skinny is .25 over the limit.
Maybe I'll grow up someday, until then, you can find me playing in the dirt.

In the end you can only enter each bike in one category so any crossover will be just for rule bending fun 😊

Hmmm............sounds like chaos to me
Been there done that with two classes... But I think a guy could very easily build a bike that could fit into all three classes with 3 wheel sets and 1 or 2 saddle / handlebar combos. @MattiThundrrr 's CCM frame or Schwinn camelback or cantilever frames could manage different wheel sets with little issues BUT just cuz you can do something doesn't mean you should.

Here's a challenge...
Use your 10 speed frame in the muscle bike class, your muscle bike frame in the off road class and your mountain bike frame in the skinny class....

My muscle build has a classic diamond frame and it's 6 speed. Does that count? :39:

A convertible bike could be really cool. I had originally intended to have 2 looks for Bonefish to fit it in two classes. I wanted a bent fork raked out far, apes, and a skinny tire on a mag for the muscle class, with a straight leg fork, kneesaver bars, and matched wheelset for the BMX class. I couldn't failed on multiple attempts to bend the fork, so it didn't happen, I didn't even get one version finished in that contest.

All of my brakeless fixed gear bikes are convertible to at least three modes (road, fast townie, and gravel) with simple stem/bar and/or tire swaps.

Inspired by the F1 @Palepainter let me ride Wednesday, I finally figured out what to do with a small/med forward-sloping top tube Mongoose Rockadile frame that's been in my shed for about ten years. Looks like I'll be in for a 1x5/6 F1 style Skinny with 26x1.5 treads.

Proper F1 = disc rear wheel IMHO

😉

I needed to go see if a magnet will stick to my Nishiki frame. I was hoping it wasn't alloy, as I'm not able to weld alloy with the rig I have.

So bingo! See the little butterfly? Fridge magnet dude. I do believe I have my frame. Now to mow the lawn... Grrr.

Carl
Harnessing the butterfly effect! Big changes are coming.......

Of course there is these two diamond frames, a red Schwinn and a cool black pool stick graphic Sears. They're both steel too.

Do you guys remember the Vacu-form toy? It had a lightbulb that would heat up little sheets of plastic and then you flip them over a mold and sucked out the air.

I think they made little spiders and bugs and such things. I never had one of those but I saw some guys on the Internet doing this on a large scale basis with a vacuum table. They were making car fenders.

I think that could be a hot cool way to make real disk wheels.

I’ve seen a number of smooth disc wheels, that were just laid up from carbon fiber and resin.

I also saw them make rocket nose cones and other parts out of composite thread and resin.

But that’s a very slow procedure when you could just take a sheet of plastic, warm it up to a certain temperature, and then press/suck it over a mold.
