Got the seat post yesterday at the Get-A-Grip swap meet from my friend @Freqman1 . Thanks Shawn!

Nice but but...
2 of 3 rules. Fur saddle, no funky bars (YET) I'm guessing the wheels are place holders.
I'm seeking your vision...
It'll have two out of three. Apes and staggered fitment.

I'm still held up by the seat post. I'm hoping to find one this coming weekend at the Get-A-Grip show in Tennessee.

If anyone has a 7/8" quill seat post for sale, let me know!
how long you need? I have a couple. there crusty, rust, dust, some painted some chromed.

Love it! I didn't see that but now it's all I can see. I think that I'll have to enhance it.
yup a what if ZZ top. had a bike rack on back there hot rod.

your bike would be the bike on it !

I just need to add some yellow. Somewhere, I have a picture of that car with me standing next to it back when it first made the NSRA show circuit.

Wasn't doubting you just trying to guess where you were going.
I didn't take it the wrong way at all. :)

I think that we're both trying to guess where I'm going with this one! I certainly didn't see ZZ Top coming before yesterday! lol But I do kinda like the idea even though it doesn't line up chronologically with my focus on the roots of muscle bikes.

I'm not feeling the banana seat yet. This is the saddle that I was considering before the ZZ Top theme got injected.

I love the farm fix!

Still probably not the best choice for this bike anyway.

There was another interesting plot twist with this bike today.

I had some extra time this afternoon because of hurricane Nicole hanging around in our area today, so I started digging through my pile of tires looking for something suitable and compliant with the rules. In the middle of moving some things around I discovered a set of fenders that I had forgotten about.

I remember buying them several years ago at a local flea market. I also remember thinking that I would probably never have a use for them. But when you walk up on old bike parts for cheap mixed in with musty clothes and useless bric-a-brac, you don't second guess your intentions but instead gladly pull out the wallet. :21:

At the time I didn't even know what they would fit. But I do now!

I spent the next hour fitting them to the bike. By this time it was already dark outside so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to roll it outside for a good look and some pictures.

The only picture that I did think to take was the bridge fender mount on the seat stays. For what ever reason, someone had bent it 90° from its original position.

The bottom fender bracket on the chain stays was also pretty jacked up and needed some massaging. I forgot to take a picture but you're not really missing anything unless you like looking at mangled metal.:21:

I'm looking forward to seeing it in the sunlight tomorrow!
