Did I mention I polish every nut, bolt, and washer? I put ina couple more hours of polishing tonight to get ready for final assembly of this MX build.

I’m curious about your polishing wheel. What kind is it? Do you have any good tips for polishing? I like to do my own polishing. I’m no pro
Nothing special. It’s from harbor freight, but works for what I need.

My technique is basic. I use Blue Magic metal polish cream pretty liberally. Work the part thoroughly. And wash them in dish soap to get all the blue cream and black residue off, then dry.

I use a Harbor Freight too. 🤙🏽

that last pic is a cracker, have you got great photo shop skill's, maybe its your studio lighting I dunno but the bike isnt really casting any shadows anywhere so the full emphasis is on the bike only, I see a lot of fantastic bikes that are just photographed wrong, as in too many frame or wheel shadows conflicting the view , in some pics the top tube, seat and bottom tube can look like they have funny angles because the shadows on the wall behind tend to trick the eye.
Your pics have zilch shadows to contrast against anything and you only get the visual spectacle thatis....your build!!
Awesome! Ive learnt here that building the bike is only part of it, a pictures worth a thousand word's so make it the best one ya can I rekon!

That’s surprising. It was a cloudy day. I never take pictures on cloudy days because I don’t think the lack of light does the paint finish any justice. I never really considered shadows as being too much of a factor, especially when weighed against what full sunshine can bring out in the paint.

I may not have a choice. We’re getting slammed in California. This next week, the days without rain will just be cloudy.
