KF this is really coming along. I think the yellow highlights of the pulleys would look better a little more subtle in color like aluminum. You probably knew that is like a "hidden Mickey.". There are people who search for those at the Disney parks.

Haven't really thought much about the yellow belt drivers. On my rides a bunch of people have asked if I was going to add lights behind those since they look like lenses.

There were plenty of hidden and not so hidden Mickeys on the hot rod. I like how the valve covers are embossed with a M. Guess they were Mickey and not M/T Mickey Thompson. :D

One of my favorite hidden mickeys on it is the mickey ear side fins for the rear spoiler. I still have that piece, but it just doesn't work with this build whenever I try it.

Love the lights!!!👍

Thanks, I always felt they were the right scale for a bike build. I got them from AutoZone I think. Guess I might be using them after 11 years.

The lights are 👍😎, but I'm not completely sold on the bumper...🤔

Just testing the bumper out. It's the right scale, but it doesn't really do anything but fill the space. I have a few other ideas, but I'll probably go with my first idea of curving the remaining piece of speed rail to wrap the bottom curve of the nose grille. That should tie everything together better too.

Pleased with the progress in figgerunout the front end mounting solution. Had to cut my work short and put everything away to make way for our typical afternoon thunder shower.

Your garden is amazing love it.

Queenfish does an amazing job keeping it looking good so that I can mess it up with bikes and parts!! :D

Those headlights are really cool and I think they work well on this build. The bumper works too. It reminds me of a spreader bar on an old hot rod.

If there is a world shortage of Duct tape we know who to blame :p

😀 My go to mockup tool of choice for 13 Build Offs now

Chopped one of the erector set pieces in half and used the nuts and bolts to attach the nose grille to the engine block. One little trick you canuse for gettings nuts started in awkward spaces is to put the nut on the tape and position the foil tape to the end of the bolt. Yet another use for foil tape.

Time to adjust the bottom bracket back. I want the back of the T Plate to line up with the back edge of the nose grill.
Marked up the middle spline of the T and started to cut it, but had a better idea. I put an upward bend to it so that I can secured it to the headtube and provide some stability to lessen any springboard effect when I hit bumps.

OJ had asked earlier about my metal bends. For years I've been using this yard sale flat vise as a makeshift metal brake to make bends against the work table.

Rounded the edges of the T Bone so that it would fit behind the nose grille. Used another set of erector set brackets. Then used the foil tape nut holder trick to attach it ba k together once it was on the bike.

Great progress today. The engine and nose grille are now solidly attached to the bike.

Foiled again.

After dinner I went for a short shakedown ride. I truly expected to hear some squeaks and such from all of the metalwork involved. But nothing made any noise. I made it a point to ride down bumpy streets and across the grass of the park. Everything was still very stable and secure when I returned home.

Used a couple of erector set couplers to make brackets to connect the speed rail to the front nose grill assembly. I'm going to trim out the front ends of the side rails as shown.

While I have the side rails off, i will also make the necessary cuts to curve the rear end to follw the rear bottom curve of the car body.

The Speedfish Special looks a little nekkid without the speed rail now.
I still love how alligned the bottom of the car body is with the midtube of the cycle truck.
