Here's the Rusty Rebel in all her glory! This was my third and NOT my last build off! I was very happy to read all the comments on my build thread for such a simple bike.
For those of you that missed my build, I started with this early 60's Firestone 500. I bought it from a yard sale years ago for $15 with very little bike building knowledge. I "rebuilt" it as a board track racer without regreaseing or really tearing anything apart at the time. After having it sit in the shed for close to 2 years in an un-rideable condition, I built it up as a true Rat Rod in my mind! I built it all with leftover parts in my shed and only spent $5 for the rear rack because I just needed it to complete the look (Thanks Stevil!).
