Not much garage time lately, and I had to order spokes, which should arrive any day now. Once those show up, I can lace the wheel on my couch, but grinding and welding is going to require going back over to the workshop.
Parts showed up at the LBS. Pretty stoked to go pick them up this afternoon... unboxing video?

I shot and edited this this afternoon, before I went on our local Ride of Silence. I have some video from that, but it probably doesn't belong in my build thread.
I got the front tire mounted. Still waiting on spokes to lace up the rear.

Thanks! That was made using Ditty for Messenger, a musical messaging app that I helped to develop. It's free to download for iOS and Android phones/tablets, and just won the 2015 Best Music Application "Appy" Award yesterday.

Did some grinding to make the rear "wishbone" fit up. Mocked the bike up afterward with the real front wheel and a stand-in for the rear (borrowed from the front of my commuter/camping bike)

No pics, but I spent a little bit working with the fenders today. The brass was just so artificially shiny that it made it look cheap somehow. It turns out that Palmolive has enough sulfides in it that a heavy solution smeared on the fenders gave them a light tarnish in just a few minutes. After I rinsed them off, I gave them a rub down with some old USMC Cordovan shoe polish that looked like it'd been in the cabinet since the '60s. It was a good start... and more of my parts came in at the LBS, so I have that going for me.
Another update for the literate:
Frame is welded. Handlebars and headset are sussed out, but I'm on the search for a different stem. Took a Flex-Hone to the seat tube and fork in preparation for paint removal and re-application.

I took the day off of work, and among other projects, I managed to strip the paint from my frame, and lay a test coat onto the fork:
I also managed to paint the rear hub and the housing for its roller brake:
And I also played around with pedals a bit:
I'm going to lay some filler on some of those rough spots before I put any color on the frame.

Wow..another cool one I'm just now seeing. Love that frame with the fork in place of the seat stays. Parts collection looks great too.
