Kinda like that tread pattern.
They look so good squeezed onto the alloy rims too, CST Cyclop.

Very nice! I bet that is a great riding bike!

Luke.
Thanks... I'm really curious, gotta find a scale...
AND
since there's time I ordered some stencils.

Those Cyclops are a good bouncy riding tire. That's what's on the back of TorRed.

They look awesome on this bike! That red chain adds a nice Vein of Color to the back half and matches well. Klunke on!!

Building... riding...

That Wald seat post isn't going to hold up. It's fine for banana seats but no, not for off road. So it's time for a solid post from slowriderz... Just ordered one this morning 13/16 with a kick in it.

Well, I stole the spacer from Fruit Krate, my son's 64' Stingray build from a couple MBO's ago, and lifted Dead Metal an inch and a half. Gives it more clearance and a subtle stance change. But I couldn't just leave Fruit Krate in pieces, I've been stealing parts off of it for a while. The seat went to Gratified in the last MBO, the post (and spacer) is on Dead Metal right now. So I swapped out the forks for some Wald 26" landing gear I had, put a short post and a Schwinn seat from a Criss Cross on it and adjusted the bars. Wow! Fruit Krate II, not an entry, but it has an air of BMX to it...

Cool, but what does Dead Metal look like now?
Pedals came in, spacer is on and I've mixed a Tange and a Wald headset together.
Rode it into windy 40 mph gusts with no problem, and it was in the 50's, in February! Woohoo!

Sounds like Some brisk riding with winds and that temp. Spring time is gettin here. Tree buds starting to crack down here.

Fruit Kate's looking a bit confused. Almost pit bikish as compared to these big bikes we been Rollin on.

Oh yeah it's little. Remember it's a 64' redesigned a bit bigger for 65'... I love the rake though, those Wald 26" forks just lift it enough, the 6" cranks leave the pedals 4" off the ground. Hmm, Pit Krate... Now if I can just find one of those heavy duty exerciser seat posts for it.

Went for a shake down today too (it's like 60 out in the middle of February!)
I bent the seat post some more and worked the left crank arm loose but she's a roller.

pretty sweet builds :cool2:

The stencils came today. I knew if I kept digging I'd find what I wanted. DX style paint on a cantilever frame. Found it on a 60' Schwinn Wasp. So I'm off to the auto parts store to score some paint, front room is gonna look like a bike shop tonight while I dis assemble and mask off the frame. no pics tho @Bicycle808 said we don't need em'... haha.
