The rims are anodized. Tires and rims are the best part of this bike. Thanks for the nice comment on the video, I hope someone from Schwinn watched this!
Just got notified by my schwinn dealer that the Fritz Fifty will not be delivered till after the holidays. So much for a christmas present to myself. ERRRR
Well I read all your post, checked out the photos, you all make good points, and I enjoyed your rants. I thought long and hard about this. I really like the looks of this bike, The Schwinn Stingray design is about the same age as me and I certainly had fun riding mine when I was growing up...
We did some more research on this rat rod. Turns out the Date code was H1 not HL, so is a 1961 Debbie Schwinn. The seat is from a bicentinial Huffy. The weels should be 24", not 20" for the Debbie.
