Anybody sniffing BO 19 in the air?

I've got a few ideas for a few different bikes, but I haven't decided on what to enter yet.

What have you been riding lately?

Never heard of that trick! I'll have to check it out.

What have you been riding lately?

Rode Shoestring around the neighborhood earlier this morning. Decided to have a little fun and clamp an Ace to the front rack for more horsepower.

    ORBO Step-Thru Klunker

Thanks Pondo! I don't know about jumping this bike, but it can handle a lot more than I thought!

    Thanks! Made it myself!

Tried using Shoestring as a "shadow gauge" for the partial eclipse today, but that didn't work like i had thought. Rode a couple laps around the cul-de-sac afterwards though.

Welp, looks like I'll be holding on to old Goldie after all! Took the time to mock up some parts on Goldie while I was looking for stuff to take to Haysville, Kansas, and I got to say, this little bike's winning me over! I had this old banana seat that looked like, for lack of a better term...

Yeah, I'm not well versed on Stingrays, so I'm surprised to learn that there were 3 versions instead of 2 like I thought. Yeah, it looks like it could've been run over, but I'm not sure. I would imagine that the frame would be damaged too, and not just the wheels.

Yeah, The Cabe's a great resource for info on bikes with a lot of really cool, really knowledgeable people, but man are there a bunch of gatekeeping snobs on there. I've had folks call me names or straight-up TELL me how to build MY bike over there. Like, why can't people just be allowed to...

Dang, the love for Goldie runs strong here! You typed up a whole story and everything! And it's not like you were picking favorites with the little footnote you gave the Schwinn Stingray! :21: (In all seriousness, I think the Stingray's cool too, it's just not my thing personally.) Funny thing...

Man, the contrast between the replies on here and The Cabe is almost night and day! Everyone here loves "Goldie," while the folks on The Cabe see it as a good garden bike at best, and worthless at worst. Guess which forum's more fun to me?

I'd make you a good deal on it too! I may not like Goldie nearly as much as you guys, but I believe Goldie deserves some love regardless.

Thanks! That stem is the one piece I'd love to hold onto from that Stingray if I can.

Goldie would make a great project for sure! I'm just not sure if I'm the right guy to do it, as I have a hard time getting over some of the lines of the bike. Since I didn't originally grow up with these bikes ('90s kid,) and because I'm an illustrator/graphic designer by trade, I pay attention...
