thanks for the input! I have a 5 speed rear laying around so I'm going to try that out.

I've been trying all day to fit a 7 speed rim on the back of my schwinn. however the hub is wayyyy to wide for the frame. does anyone know how to fix this problem? It's like I have to spread out the stays, but is that possible?

so I guess the rims on a B&W schwinn won't allow normal 26" tires. Anyone know about the 45/571 rims? I wanted to put knobbier tires on it but I can only find 1 type of tyre to fit the rim. and it's a street slick :(. HELP! :x
