    Mercury with a Kinkade Engine

    Rusty build. Not sure the Mercury year, but I think it's pre war late 30's maybe?? The Kinkade engine is a 1920.

    Moving long slow, but it is getting there. I sort of moved away from the board track racer to a more original style. These photos are a couple weeks old, so it don't show the drive, which is almost done. I haven't mounted any fenders, but took a photo both ways for comparison. I haven't decided yet.

    The blue prints are in my head, I just can't remember where!. Was going to be a belt drive only, but now will be a short belt to a short jackshaft and chain drive to the back.

    Old thread, but I will add. 43, I raced BMX in the mid to late 80's. I was in the National Bicycle League and was darn good. I use to ride up to 20 miles a day without the first hint of being tired. Now I can peddle 50 feet or so and I'm through, so I like bicycles with engines!!

    Yea, here is a link to the video test running it. It took a little while to get it dialed in, but it runs pretty good.

    Just an old Quincy air compressor made into an engine and putting it on a bike that is mostly fabricated, but has a few scrounged parts.

    Been lurking a few times. Really interested in early bikes and board track racers. I have a few old bikes, but nothing of value. Working on a early board track bike using a air compressor as a engine. Going to post it in the motorized bicycle forum now. Thanks for having me Jonathan
