that specialized looks exactly like mine but mine is a '94. i bought it brand new for $400, on sale. those things are SUPER light. it's the only reason i havent parted with mine yet. :D you might even have the comp version which has aluminum rims and some other mega light parts that i cant...

I have a chopper i am going to offload but I'm not sure how to identify it's age. also not sure how to price it before i put it in the for sale forum. thoughts? Here are the pics I have so far. I do have the forks and front wheel as well but no handlebars, no shifter.

that's pretty sweet! i havent seen that one. the one i was looking for, they used the stock stingray/occ forks and cut them in two places then added a little extra metal in there to make the forks wider. they mounted it back up to the stock frame.

Awhile ago I saw a thread where someone expanded the triple trees and mounted a 4" rear tire on the front. I can't seem to find those pics! Does anybody know if it was actually here, on this forum? They cut the triple tree braces in two places and welded spacers in there, then mounted a rear...

dunno yea now i have people on my other forum trying to talk me out of making my $10 bike into a single speed because "it's not worth the trouble, you have to re-dish your wheel, etc, blah blah" I wish i knew more about this. hopefully i'm not causing more trouble for myself than this bike is...

looks like i have a "special" freewheel. a Falcon freewheel, that's hard to find a remover for. it looks like this... i'm taking the wheel to the lbs tomorrow to see what they can do with it.

i'll check with them tomorrow and see what they have.

yea i heard i might be able to grind off the sprocket. mike is shipping me one, already ground off. the freewheel i took apart is probably toast. i have another one on another OCC bike i might be able to use, or i just came across a song yim (i cant rmember what it's called) freewheel on the...

the cool thing about the iZip back wheel is that the izip was originally motorized so there's a sprocket on both sides of the wheel. the left side is a fixed sprocket, i'm not sure how many teeth but it's spaced closer together than my chain or i'd flip the tire and make a fixie out of it...
