heres a pic of my next project. This one's a hercules- not sure what year, but I was lucky enought to pick this one up recently for $10. It's not being restored- probably just throw a paint job on it- black with sand colored polka-dots?? Actually, the rust looks so nice, I kinda wanna ride it...

I just picked this one up today at the swap meet for $25 it just needed a little cleaning, and some air in the tires. Sturmey archer 3 speed works fine too!! It's a pretty small bike though- for 24 1 3/8 size tires.

not that 56t is not big enough, but do you build larger ones? I was looking for abnormally large -comparible to the excercise bike size (perhaps a bit smaller since the excercise bike ones almost always seem to hit the frame requiring modification)

I think there are some simple truths about carbon fiber 1. it's like anything else ever produced- you can easily find lower cost crap, or high dollar miracles materials 2. lets say it's 10 times stronger than steel- what do you need that on a bike for? If you just need a bike to be lightweight...

don't know if this one is a westport, just know its a Murray. I've built a couple of Murrays in the past and I have to say that every time I do, I'm always amazed by the result. These are cool bikes!!! Most of the Murray's I find are older, neglected, and rusting, but they always shine up...

yeah, I think your right, I was just hoping that I wouldn't have to get stuck with an excercise bike frame lying around until I get rid of it. I don't do much frame building from scratch, so it would probably just sit. and I've got so many build leftovers lying around as it is.
