    The Weight Loss Thread

That's a good thing, but even better is the quality of those 'extra" years. My wife has also gone low or no carbs, and cut out suger. Not only did her weight drop, but she got to stop with the lipitor she had been taking for years. Her success has helped me cut back. it's still a fight.

    The Weight Loss Thread

Thanks for the kind thought. Just one more challenge to add to all the rest that seem to stay around the longer we live. Back to the diet. Never heard of the Ferriss, but it sounds a bit like the "Hilton Head Matabilisim" diet. (sp ?) Read the book years ago, then lost track of the book. Same...

    The Weight Loss Thread

Over two years now, Itripped on a curb and ripped my left one nearly in two. Still have a floppy foot. That's one thing that stopped me from riding a bike. That's why the old trike was such a help to get me started with the pedals again. Thanks for bringing up the subject of Weight Loss. I'm...

    UpDown2

The summer work that was posponed by bikes has taken up my time for a while. But having the option to "park" these trikes standing up has worked out to save space. dolphins or not, the stand up routine is welcomed around here. Also, no lifting involved, just tipping. UpDown2 was a fun build...

Thanks for youe kind words "Bike from the dead"

Looks like the dreaded deadline has come and gone and no more posting in the "finished bikes'. So I will pass on a thankyou here instead. As this was my first BO I will say it was fun to be a part. 3forks

Is the Muscle Bike Build Off Annual?

If I read corectly, 700 x 38 c would be OK for this "skinny" challenge. If so, I have a set of wheels, with tires, ready to build something. That sounds great.

Is the Muscle Bike Build Off Annual?

No mini challenge today. My time to spend on the 'puter today is used up. I will be looking foward to seeing what the winter BO ends up as.

Is the Muscle Bike Build Off Annual?

The "non bike parts" bike sounds like another idea for a BO. It's been done, ya know, bedframes, toilets, lawnmowers, picknick tables and whatever. But a decicated "non bike" bike build might mean 4 classes of BO, too many for one winter. I still like the "skinny' with anything else goes class.

Is the Muscle Bike Build Off Annual?

"Skinny" means just that. low rolling resistance on pavment, sometimes dangerous on gravel or with small rocks on pavement. Even 700x38 c is approaching wide. A great size, good on gravel, but rolls OK. I have a wheelset like that waiting, but that's not really "skinny" The "idea" of a...

    UpDown2

Sombody turned on the bubble machine. I know it wasn't me, I stopped wearing a suit and tie over 50 years ago.

    UpDown2

UpDown is a fun ride, even if more slowly than two wheels. Great to have a ready seat to sit and watch the surf or sunset. People watching can be fun too. I got lots of smiles, kind comments, thumbs up and such. And only a three mile ride on a weekday. One man stopped his van to take a better...

    Cockpit shots only

This is still my favorite cockpit shot, even if not a bicycle. 1973 Right about that time I was riding a used, rebuilt 10 speed, a Terrot, that had a TA triple crankset, drop handlebars, and sewups. One of my first builds. A few rides with the 'club", but went my own way.
