Another question. Any opinions on old shimano 3 speed hubs? ive read on the net they are not worth lacing a wheel to. Should I go with the sturmey archer 3 speed I have? It's pretty old as well but functional. I hate to spend time lacing up a wheel that isn't gonna last
I've seen em on the net but never in person. But I'm wanting to put 26 inch wheels. I'm hesitant about notching the frame but it's necessary. Thank you all for the spoke input.
When I said 6 foot frame I meant me (I'm 6'1" ish) :D haha It was originally an eliminator mark 1 with 20 inch wheels. I think the frame design is awesome and I've always loved muscle bikes so I'm trying to build it where my feet don't drag the ground. My ideas with it have changed several...

I use some Aircraft stripper from my local parts store. It makes the paint bubble and can easily be scraped off. But don't spray it on a windy day, it burns your skin :D
Hey everyone. I have been building bikes off and on since I was 12 years old. I'm from the midwest (southeast MO) and it's nice to see a site full of folks who have the same hobby or should I say obsession as I do. haha. I'm currently building a 69 Eliminator to fit my 6 foot frame . It's a work...
I have a AMF Hercules ladies bike. It says on the head badge Nottingham, England. It has a sturmey archer 3 speed internal hub. It's a cool bike and I know nothing of these kind BUT it's a ladies frame. I want to dismantle it and use some of the sweet parts. My dilemma is it's a complete bike...
