I love looking at the racing bikes and parts that are so obscure that even an expert would not know about them.
They have to be older than 1990 though.
 
Freewheels with all the same cogs were an experimental design to see if gears were a placebo effect.

here's the Huffy that was available in stores to emulate the Melton-built Olympic bikes:

That Huffy on the top has the smallest cogs ever on a freewheel. I like the department store one as well. The silver bike mad me go J:

After the big rims became available, he went all mullet. Didn't want to admit he was wrong about 24, but 26 advantages were impossible to ignore.
