has anyone tried to install a different threaded cog on this type hub? i want to go with a 1/8 chain setup and can't get an answer anywhere on whether a standard fixie sprocket will thread onto this hub.

That's a good question that might be better answered over at The CABE. I can tell you this much; the hub has TWO sets of narrow threads--right-handed for the cog & left-handed for the retaining ring. The outer threads are ever-so-slightly smaller in diameter, which allows the cog to pass over them without interference. Zoom in carefully on the photo and you can just make that out...once you know what you're looking for.

I'll do some research, too, and will respond here if I find an answer..

SB to the rescue! Well, at least we now know the size & pitch of the modern spin-on fixie cog--ISO 1.375x24. We just need to dig-up numbers for the vintage stuff.

yep, it looks like a regular single speed or track hub setup. i just don't want to buy one and find out that the threading is something proprietary.
