I'm a little late to the party but I've been reminded by @CRASH, that I should be here building muscle bikes with my compadres. It was a busy start to my work year, and one sinus infection and head cold later, I have found the energy and desire to delve into bicycles once again.

I hummed and hawed in the garage and found my blank canvas. The classic Canadian muscle bike is the CCM mustang Marauder. This coaster frame that I have had sitting around will become the CCM SLICKSTER.... ( I think). Not 100% on the name yet, but you know this thing will have a 20 x 2.125 slick in the rear. Going to stretch this one out with a custom drag fork built by my buddy and fellow bike builder Brian Jones out of Brantford. The Charger was my first choice, but I'll save it for another day.

The frame has been stripped and sent off for a fresh powder coat. Rockstar Yellow is the choice. It's a metallic yellow with lots of gold fleck. Should really pop in the sun!!!! Front fork has been dropped off for a treatment of Cosmic Chrome. Will be a bit of a waiting period to get those two parts back. In the meantime, I can make a repro guard for this and tinker with the seat. Thanks to MIke Bruns for the donor Iverson seat. It needs some love for sure, but I'm thinking I'll match the original as best I can with some pleated vinyl and my sewing machine. Should probably do another custom back rest to match. Could be a custom sissy in the works as well, as I have a sample bar laid down in the pic. Might look at an alternate sissy attachment with the bars shooting forward. Not sure yet. I also have about 10 different styles of handlebars to try on this one, so once I get the frame and fork back and can present some pics of the fashion show.

If you were young in Canada and had one of those you were the coolest kid in town. That charger in the back is pretty cool to. Love that frame.

The one we saw was no where near that nice. Guy wanted to sell it to me after we left asked 400 for it. It was seized solid horrible shape but had seat and chaingauard
Where was it? Doesn’t sound too bad if it’s all there. The two piece seat is hard to come by. I’ve had mine for many years and paid up for it at the time.

It's pretty roached missing shifter, but the seat is there and the ram bars. Around here in Cornwall on that is expensive there is no market or I'm pretty much the market. He might get some from Montreal but things like that sit. 250-300 would be normal for complete and working.

super cool frame for your base. Im in upstate NY and surprised I haven’t seen anything like that migrated south of the border.

CCM had a knack for different styled frames and everything was made by them so it's not uncommon here in Canada to have 6 different brands have the same frame.

We've found six different bikes with this 1978 mustang frame.
