How many of us are building a TT bike? You know board trackers are time trial bikes too. It's literally got to be the best sub class to be in. Fastest / highest performance, coolest paint possibilities and almost no rules! Who's all inny on the skinny TT build?

I have an aversion to TT bikes that may be caused by the stylistic types around here *where I live* on $20K worth of TT bikes and kit going 15mph.

Even so, a ratty TT styled bike with a freak in cutoffs going 30mph is the kind of pie in the face of the stylistics need to encounter.

There are snooty folks in every sport, purists and pundits. Then there are the rest of us. Building what we want, when we want, regardless of or even in spite of popular opinion. I've looked at all the skinny builds and @GTHOtrod and I are NOT the only ones building TT bikes. Your bash on "stylistics" is sad, I've seen none of them here on ratrodbikes.

I may have to think about incorporating some TT features into a skinny build I'm conjuring up. Hope I can find the fork I want to use.......:39:
Ah the fork... I am at a point in my build where the fork is in the proverbial middle of the road. Keep the old fork with it's ancient crown or source a 1" carbon fibre?

Sadly I rebuilt a TT bicycle two years ago so a little too early.

It's a very weird bicycle with a very weird story. Made by West German Schauff in 1987 for a french perfume maker Lancome to advertise their... golf tournament called Trophee Lancome. Seat tube is 590mm, rear wheel a standard 700c and a 650A in the front. Rebuild with almost complete Shimano 105 groupset from 1987.
