Sorry- I don’t post on here as much as I used to. I’ve been out riding!!

Thought I would share a few of our (my wife and mine) klunker/ cruiser builds. The 29er I’ve shared here before-it was actually my entry in to a build off a couple years ago.

1930’s Hawthorne 29er coaster brake Klunker with a Monarch single-spring fork and custom bent bars.

Next up is my 1946 Dayton-Huffman. This thing is a workhorse. I’ve put a few hundred miles on this one since I finished at the end of September. Rear triangle has been widened and gusseted to fit the fat tires- and all the joints were re-brazed for strength. The build list is long and for the most part, vintage. Just a fantastic bike to ride. Oh yeah- it won “Best Fab” at the Cruiser Classic!

This is my 2012 Felt Rail. She’s the fancy one of the bunch that was a marketplace grab. Started off pretty beat up and GREEN.

The newest addition to the fleet is one I picked up for my wife a couple weeks ago. State Bicycle Co Klunker. I got it home, dusted it off and put a nice set of scrambler bars on it…for now ;).

That's a seriously cool stable of bikes! Hard to pick a favorite but I'm always a sucker for a bare metal build. What's the chainring on the Felt? I don't think I've seen one of those before, very cool!

It’s a Renthal. They’ve been out of production for a bit, but I was able to score a few and stash them away. I have one on the Huffman as well now.

I keep adding to the collection. Fortunately I have a really understanding wife with a vintage handbag passion. We balance each other out. Mid 80’s Schwinn cantilever framed Klunker build, 1968 original paint Schwinn Typhoon…and my pièce de resistance… an original paint 1937 double straight bar Cadillac badged Schwinn.

Started tear-down and build up of the ‘68 Typhoon yesterday and this evening. This is going to be a fun little build!

Btw-I posted all of the stock parts up for sale. S7’s, cranks, bars, seat..-all of it is up for grabs!
