Ok got a bike You think was a contender?
Didn't get the attention you craved?
Everybody posts a bike that could have, should have, been in the running.
One unlimited class for bikes that have been in a build off before.

ONLY 2 RULES
1, IT CAN'T HAVE BEEN A TOP 3 BIKE IN IT'S BUILD OFF.
2. IT MUST HAVE BEEN IN A BUILD OFF VOTING THREAD BEFORE.
(any build off counts)

If ya'all think it sounds fair, Post a Pic of your bike in this thread.
FEB 14th I'll compile a voting thread and you can find some love for your bike.
2 weeks to post. Two weeks to vote.

Harlequin T from the BO12 in 2017 -103 entries, 63 finishers, tied for 9th. Early 60's Huffy Daisey tandem conversion "as built"
I crashed it in 2018 when the steering bolt came loose and the steering wheel came off in my hands like a Wile E. Coyote cartoon.
Welded the steering wheel solid and replaced the single speed with a 3 speed coaster, complete with a "3 on the tree" shifter.
Not really a "Burrito" more like a recumbent taco....

I still haven’t figured out what recumbent bikes have to do with Mexican food.

In 1971 I built a recumbent bike with chain and sprocket steering. It was my very first welding project, in high school.

I used little sprockets of 18 teeth or so.

It wasn’t very “direct” and I always wished I’d used bigger sprockets.

I left that bike behind in Baudette Minn.

Nothing to do with either recumbent or food

Burrito is a term for a stye of bike where the seat sits lower than the wheels

but you just described a recumbent bike. the seat always sits lower than the wheels. some recumbents have 3 wheels some have 2. so Barreto bikes are just home built recumbents :wondering:

Burritos are built long and low. I think all Burritos are Recumbents, but not all Recumbents are Burritos. My recumbent Bike E wouldn't be considered a Burrito.

Negative. Tons of recumbent bikes have high seating positions

Strange how easy these threads can go off the rails.

It's when people try to push creative shapes into the square boxes of definitions. The words people use to describe things constrain the way that they are able to think about them.

For "rules" and a brief history of the term (post 18), with pictures, along with a more appropriate place to hash out opinions on definitions:
