A friend bought for me this cool dynamo at a flea market. I mounted it and I like how it looks. I haven't connected it yet and I don't know if it will work in this direction. I will probably try it during the weekend.

It will work forward or backwards. It looks like the Sanyo bottom bracket mount generator. I have one on a Trek 800. They work good until enough muck gets in them from being thrown at them from the tires. Mine works good, but you know it is on even with the lights turned off because it drags. Perhaps not that much different than the bottle type that rubs on the side wall.
I like your mounting location. It may still get muck on it but it makes maintenance or just checking on it easier. Good idea.
