Muscle Spasm the second chain steering build I've done.
From the sea post back has been incorporated into DoorK / Nodor.
That evening I was riding figure 8's in the church basement... 2018?
Not sure where the handlebars are... I think back on ALiEN FiRE.

After I saw how many "older" gentlemen were posting their pictures I thought I would post one of a youthful bicyclist with his iron steed. Couldn't find anyone so my wife took these pictures as we exercised the dogs at the Port of Sacramento. That helmet has a aftermarket brim to cut down on skin cancers. It's called "Da Brim". Made here in California. Bicycle is my 73 Schwinn Varsity and yes it is cool outside so I'm all bundled up. I won't use the 'cold' word because here in the central valley of California 32 degrees F is blazing cold which will just make some of you guys jealous or laugh hysterically.

I was feeling left out!

@Skipton , @deven_science , @Speed King , @Oldbiscuit , @BartRidesEternal … all you guys are styling these super cool cabbie/newsboy hats.

I scored one off of eBay for $15 so I can look more the part!!!!!

Gorgeous day for a ride around the lake with wifey: I was on the urban suburban…. That thing rides amazing for a $20 bike.

No idea how I have not noticed this thread till now…

This is me, on a Ross Polobike that’s captioned incorrectly, attending the Simple Transport aircooled VW and bicycle event in Hagerstown, MD. Pretty cool that I made it into Hot VWs magazine.

And then this is from several years ago. When you put a 5’6” adult on a Monster Cruiser, he looks like a 3rd grader riding his dad’s bike lol.

Where can we see more of this bike with the trick seat? Does that ride only appear on April 1st?
HA. That’s not mine. It belongs to a friend who runs our group rides. It’s really called a Monster Cruiser and it’s made by Coker Tire. It has 36-inch (!) tires.

He has added the hi-riser bars and a motorcycle seat and sissy bar, and I’m pretty sure he added the Nexus internally geared rear hub. I forget if it’s 3 or 7 speed. And just to keep this on topic, here’s me with the Monster Cruiser right behind me.

Last night.
This pic means a lot to me because just over 12 months ago I weighed 150kg (330lbs) and had a range of health issues looming large.
A year of healthy diet, moderation of booze, exercise and much, much cycling I'm now 105kg (230).
At 6'4" in reasonably good shape for a 64 year old and the threat of Type 2 is long-gone . Luuuuves my bicycles.

Wow, way to go mate! You are an inspiration! I'm working on keeping my weight down as well.
Keep up the great work there.

33 this next month!

It's good to see faces to the names as well.
I lost what felt like all my whimsy when I tried to put the hobby down once. Life got hard, keeping it seemed even harder..
All the things meant for us eventually find their way back and I'm happy to say I don't think it'll have to happen twice.

This is a rare photo in both that I'm in it and that I'm smiling again.
The hobby saved my life twice and I'm happy to see many of the friends in the flesh and steel that helped that find fruition.

Thanks, All.

Glad you are still with us Robin!

This hobby helps me a lot as well gets the heart pumping, excitement of the build, and the exercise. Lower blood pressure, less depression.

RatRodBokes and bike life in general also helps me feel included and belonging somewhere other than work in a world of shrinking good friends. I have to say thanks to all as well.
