Neither did I until about a week ago.Nice!! I didn’t even know they made a gold sports.
Ready for the next fifty years of ridingIt's a solid heavy bike. Overall very pleased with it.
So, after some cyberspace poking around found the Collegiate is a 1939-1941 Elgin. That the Airman break arm is a Spiegel mail order catalogue part for the Airman bike.Went and looked at, but won't be picking them up until Monday. 3 very interesting ones I have to do some research on. One I'm just not sure who made it, no head badge and the quick picture of the serial number was too blurry.
1st up is this 20" skip tooth Girls Hawthorne.

2nd one is really interesting. It's a Collegiate, but I do not believe it's a Schwinn.

This one is the one that the picture I took of the serial number was too blurry for me to make out.

This one we haven't talked about yet, but I'm confident I'll be owning it as well.

I got just the wheel, no bike and I've never seen this brake arm or the cog with the holes all the way around it.

I had to hurry out the door to get to work on time so I didn't have time to get pictures of everything. Lots of nos parts for hubs, brakes etc. 5 other bikes I did have time for pictures of.
It's going to be a long 2 days.
