Really fun morning today! My high school classmate Charlie, lives south of the metro area about 20 miles. Near him, Hall of Fame NFL Safety Paul Krause, Minn Vikings 1968-79, has an old lumber yard and gas station he bought and converted for his cars and motorcycles and football memorabilia.

Every other Wed during our Summer months, he hosts a car cruise, 50 mile drive through the rolling hills, farmland and lakes of southern Minnesota.

I went today, and got to drive Charlie's 1969 Firebird, while he drove his 1963 Riviera. About 30 cars today.

I am very jealous. I've always loved the old Firebird more than the Camaros.
They aren't quite GTOs, but they are wicked.
Post up a pic of his 63 Riviera if you can. Those have beautiful styling. especially if he has the clamshell lights.
BTW, you forgot to embiggen the pic of you next to the TransAm

Oh yeah. I'm jealous too. I remember back in the day the girl around
the corner bought at beat up '68 Firebird for $800. She wanted us boys
to check it out for her and say if it was a good deal or not. Some of the
older guys laughed when they took a look and said she got ripped off.
She was upset as she drove off. I remember I felt bad they did that. Red
head Debbie. She took it to Earl Scheib and got the $99.95 red emerond
paint job. That and probably a gallon of Armor All, Debbie got her ride
shining like the Chrysler Building. As I recall, both Debbie and the Firebird
were really sweet red rides.

That sounds like a blast! I've been trying to think of a way to get guys around here to get there cars out more than once or twice a year but I just don't have time to host an event right now. After I retire though. Your buddy has quite the toybox!!

It's Thursday night at the car show! Quasi-motobike makes his first appearance...

I parked a few blocks away, and rode it into the venue; and immediately drew a crowd.

It's always satisfying being able to share the joy of our builds. We get to enjoy them in our courtyards, garages, back40s, etc. But getting reactions from complete strangers never gets old. We get over 15 million visitors a year, so I get a new batch every bike ride. :D
That photo would actually be a pretty cool voting pic. :D

A Milk Man, perhaps? Well shaped bow ties are key.
Definitely from a much more formal time when the
presentation of the serviceman was tantamount to
the caring emotions of the company he represented.
Taken into context today... companies don't really
seem to care and the formalities of that lifestyle are
nearly lost. I still love Mr. Rogers and Mr. McFeely.
"Speedy delivery!"
