Painted the rear frame.

I put the seat together as well.

Need to grind the top of this screw to get the set screw in.

Also need to grind the wider springer crown a bit so it can angle down correctly with the steer tube and the height of the head tube.

Then can get this thing.put back together.

That is awesome! Perfect for those night rides. Pictures with a 10+ second shutter would look amazing. Or a video.
Thanks Bart.

Will get a video at night once it's riding. That outside were with the light on.
Really killer build you’ve got going. Can’t wait to see the paint out in the light and the rims are looking phenomenal.

Youngest of 8 here. All complete nut jobs too.
Hehe 🤣 thanks Chad.

This right here. No words. :inlove:

Thanks Oddjob, It's looking better each day.

Today I did the bulk of assembly. Have those little details yet to deal with.

The square key for the axles that came with the freewheel adapter and the brake are too large. Gonna run by Ace and see if the have the right sized ones.

Have the bulk together now. Need to mount the sissy. Add the brake shoe, tie in the gearing. Add the derailer and chain, and get the cables cut in. Thompson grips for the bars after that.

the wife looked at.the tires and wants a knobby for the front. Thought about blacking out the white letters, but she said to keep them. CST BFT is ordered.

Killer paint fade!
Wheels are even better than I thought.
It's really coming together well.

With these huge gnarly tires and the stance and overall look, and it being built for your wife, it might be named something like:

"Momma Don't Allow" ~famous bluegrass tune title
"Momma Told Me (Not to Come) ~ Randy Neuman tune made famous by Three Dog Night
"Mother's Not-to-Worry" ~ take off on a Big Daddy Roth inspired Revell model kit

I agree with her, knobbies it is!

Ride vid = Wife at the helm. 😉
Agreed, knobbies it is.

Great idea we'll see if she agees to be in the ride vid. Thinkin she will.

It's really cool!
Cool 😎

It does look really cool. With those tires it looks like it could burl over just about anything. 😎
And do so comfortably with the added smoothness of the fat tire ride... hehehe

Thanks for the reminder to rename, wanted to weeks ago, but so many things happened the last three months, it fell by the wayside.

Asked your suggestions and she wasn't going for my suggestions either... "Neesha's Fat A$$ed Trike" didn't fly... o_O She knew I was joking on that one, else you wouldn't be reading this cuz I'd be dead.

She said "Momma V"

I picked up a new rear trike frame.

Reason 1, I'm running out of time and need brakes working, hopefully today. Painted it last night.
20240725_052926.jpg

Reason 2, I couldn't get the derailleur dialed in to get more than 5 of 8 gears...

The new trike rear end has tabs for brakes and for the derailleur. Not happy with the wheel mount on the new axle, so will use the pinned one, so I don't have to engineer a way to make it work.

After work today will be installing it.

With only a few laps to go, Ricky Bobby comes into the pit for a complete rear end swap out.
SHAKE AND BAKE!!!!
