Tires may be an off size. Go ahead and rob the unused bike. This build is looking great!

It's kind of like the tires are off center l checked the rims and they are to see if off but are fine.
They could have bad bead alignment. Many times if they make a bad batch, those tires can be shipped to the same distributor and then the customer can end up with a bad pair.

If they can be returned, they should take them back. Doesn't solve you needing tires to finish your build ASAP though!

I think it is because of the bead being small compared to other tires I have. Fooled around with them yesterday I think I got them good enough going to ride it around the neighborhood today and see how they do. I can't return them because I got them used.

Went for a test ride with the grandson hoping it would help seat the tires. I don't feel anything riding so I'm just going to roll with it. I'm wondering if it's from having them hanging up?

Grandson wanted to get his ride in a pic too.

Might see if I have a little bit bigger cog for the rear wheel to make for a little easier peddle not that it's hard just more than I like for cruising.
Just need to get some finished thread pic's.
Now to finish up my unlimited build.

Those green rims really pop, that was a good choice. The bike looks great and the bikes look cool together. It’s great that your grandson like to ride with you. 😎

They live we me so at least 2-3 times a week he asks if we can go for a ride soon as I get home from work.

I wasn't liking how it seemed like the bike wants to fall over with the kickstand. So I picked up this bike stand at the flea market not sure what size it was for but for $2 it was worth the risk. Until I got home and saw 24 stamped on it.

So I grabbed the grinder with the cutting wheel and went middle of the only straight spot and cut it in half. Looked through my scrap tubing and found a piece that fits over the solid steel not the handle bar piece in above pic.

Just need to mount the parts that go on the axle to figure out how much I need to add to get them to clear the fender and reflector.

Looking great and it is super cool that your grandson enjoys the rides with you!

Finally no raining here after work today so I figured out how much I needed to clear the fender with the kickstand. I needed 16 1/4" . Took the pieces of tubing I cut slid onto the halves of the stand. Measured both sides to get the needed 16 1/4. Lined the ends up welded the sleeves up.

Not going to worry about cleaning the ugly welds it works and that's what matters. It's a lot sturdier than the kickstand with the added weight of the baskets.

Cool modern dropstand.
This was also the first day in about a week without an afternoon thunderstorm for us.

Nice job on the extended drop stand. Now bring this baby on home to the Finished Build threads!

Been raining here almost every evening.

Don't think I'll be able to get pics before this weekend but either Saturday or Sunday.
