Hi, all. I have this cool old Raleigh and I am having a hard time identifying it. the serial # is AH69420 (nice😎). Every database I've been able to run it through comes up inconclusive, most stating that there should be a series of zeroes in the sequence. I took the most thorough pics I could get. The head badge is the Raleigh insignia with "the Raleigh" under it, placed with rivets. the left side fork has remains of a Raleigh decal but barely present. Huret brakes, weinmann brev pads. Allvit derailer seems to be a rubberized roller instead of traditional sprockets. Millard hubs. Rigida superchromix wheels. hard to read the kickstand but I think it says esga plet8cher (?). mesinger mfg seat.
If anyone would be able to point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated!

It's from the 80s probably a lenton, sprite,or one of the various names the made from the same frame. Definitely was not maid in the Raleigh plant. On the upside it probably has standard threading (24 tpi) but I would still check there was a cross over period where things got mixed up. It doesn't hold a lot of value but should be fun to ride.

Then Irish Raleighs are supposed to have a "D" at the beginning of the serial number. The different places of manufacture all have their own letter, but "A" isn't any of them. The Made in Ireland decal has me convinced that's where it was made though. "H" is for the month of June and the first digit is the year, in your case, I would say 1976, not 86 or 66. It has the same derailluer as my early 70's Hercules 10 speed, with the smooth pulleys. The other features hint at the mid 70's also.
