Will you attempt to complete this one?

Maybe one of the rockers needs a handle or pedal to help the bike flip and stay.
I will, time permitting. I can’t see it being a bike I ride a lot but I would like to get it fully functional.

I wondered if it would need help flipping the rocker. I think I may need to move the top mounts forward on the frame to get the spacing right. Maybe the rear mounts should be higher? I’ll keep experimenting with it. It’s a really fun bike. For the moment I need to be working on my 4Runner, rebuilding the deck and getting the Newport rideable.

Thanks for your help on this @Ulu , I’ll keep at it. 👍

Thanks!! This was a super fun build. I’ve got some ideas for another chopper build in the future. We’ll see what transpires. 😁
Maybe like this insane build?

In chopper mode the wheelbase is 5 1/2’, overall 7 1/2’.

Yah, man. Seriously diggin' that way cool build-thing... I went slack-jawed, & have a couple 3 questions for you, sir. Thanks mucho. What tubing did you use to avoid catastrophic structural failure from stretching the fork? Does you enjoy any unfavorable ride characteristics from that laid-back take in chopper mode?

Ha! Structure and safety you say? The tubing is a piece of square tubing I pillaged from an old weight bench. Seems to have worked great so far, at least I've still got all my teeth. It's not currently rideable in chopper mode. I need to make a snubber to keep it from rubbing on the back tire. But it is going to have significant steering flop. But it's a chopper, it's supposed to. :cool2:
