I'm looking at replacement aluminum jockey wheels for an old Shimano Eagle derailleur. 11T is very common. It's got 10t on it right now. I am wondering if that additional diameter will have that much of an affect? Has anyone tried this?

worst case, the chain will drag on the cage plate(s).

Generally jockey wheels aren't interchangeable across brands. Each brand has their own bearing sizes and bolt diameter and threadings. No way a Simplex fits on a Shimano, etc. The latest fad is huge jockey wheels. Then there are the worst derailleurs, SRAM, where the jockey wheels are riveted in place.
