A mail pouch baby carrier for bike riding. The man's uniform & hat insignia has not been identified. The image is on an AZO RPPC postmarked in 1912 at BARTOW FLA. and was offered in an internet auction.

Great photo. Don't know if it was just a random shot, but they got it all set up perfect. The angle
of the bike, the position of the boy, with the ball and mitt, the over the shoulder head turned back
facing the camera, the toe point of the Keds, the hot rod '55 Chevy Wagon in the garage with the California plate. The lighting and shadowing. Perfect clarity for it's age. What's not to love?
All that and the kid reminds me of my older brother.

Me too. I'm guessing this picture was taken in winter time. Look at those heavy, black dresses.
And no sweating. Yeah. I was there in April once and practically melted at the Castillo! But then
again, global warming and the ozone thing. I love that old man too. With Great beard comes
great responsibility.
