Every Christmas, my wife & I "adopt" a couple of kids for Christmas through the local Resources Unite. We typically get toys and needed clothing, but this year the wife suggested the gift of bike. I know I'll never forget the 1st bike under the tree (a cleaned up used Stingray) and my 1st NEW "BMX" bike (Huffy Pro Thunder). Knowing a new bike is the gift of freedom, fitness, travel and adventure, I thought it was a marvelous idea!
We were at the local Walmart tonight & they had a couple of bikes on sale. We each bought one, a pair of Huffy boys & girls BMX shaped objects, along with some kid-sized helmets. I'll go through them before we actually deliver them (not that I don't trust the Walmart bike mechanics)!
