So wherein lies the dilemma? 
I can't put my Von Dutch Flying Eye Ball on a modern car antenna.

Down here in NASCAR country there were orange and blue Union 76 antenna balls.

It would just fly off the first time you hit 20 mph.
These remind me of the magnetic stickers people were putting on their cars about 10 years go. I think those started with the pink ribbons for breast cancer awareness, then were copied for military support and other campaigns. I remember people bitching about them being stolen from their cars. Well, I'd see them along the road sides when I was riding my bicycle. Along with the other car debris such as phones, beer cans, car parts, etc. I'd say run a thread through it and hang it on your interior rear view mirror.
