Got a cheap donor for wheels, chainguard and crank. I’ll also use the seat pan.

The seat pan was rusty and cracked on the project bike.
Both bikes are disassembled and things are soaking in evaprorust and parts cleaner.
Frame and forks and handle bars are on there way to sand blasting and I’m starting polish the rims and shiny parts.

So I’m waiting on the sandblaster. I have a small one I used in Rosie but it’s cold and it’s easier to have someone else do it. So I started to work on the wheels. The donor bikes wheels were pretty decent and cleaned up well. I got some tires that are really close looking to the originals kenda k44 20x1.75. The original bikes chrome parts
are toast
Good work on that wheel. looks almost brand new! Besides elbow grease, what did you use to clean up that rim?
They were very good condition. I soaked them in simple green over night and then used an old tooth brush to clean all the old dirt and grime. Chrome polish and a dremel then polish and a rag.
The fenders are pretty rough looking and i haven’t found any nice replacements. So I did some cleaning, sanding and some torching
It’s been a while since I’ve worked on the huffy. The wheels and crank and sprocket are all shined up. I’ve got the decal. I need hand grips. Oh and I need the sand blast guy to getrdone so I can do the paint and get this thing down the road.
