I know what you mean. All the more special with such an old crusty machine with a historyYou know how sometimes you find a bike that just 'goes', almost with no effort, like it has a spirit of it's own? Tbis is one of those bikes!

Thanks MF. Yeah, I had some ideas for some add-ons, accoutrements, gee gaw, whatever you want to call it. But after following those thoughts, I ended up where I started; back to the basic bike as it sits. It's very solid as a rider, and as clean looking as a 'bandit' can get, I imagine.Complex was great when I was younger, simple is my choice as I’ve aged. Looks good as it is.
Yeah, we are just a 1/2 mile from where I took this photo. I will miss being this close to the edge of the desert wilderness. But our new place is close to another trails area, about 3.5 miles. But I'll miss our old friend, Red.Looks right at home out there. Gorgeous country
But if it was turned around, wouldn't I only be able to go in reverse?Looks great!
It may just be my personal take (and a minor one), but it looks like the chainring is turned around. Not sure if there is a right or wrong way though.
Get yourself a sombrero or make a sombrero helmet…sun protection you know. Bandito styleThanks MF. Yeah, I had some ideas for some add-ons, accoutrements, gee gaw, whatever you want to call it. I do have one other idea I want to pursue, but it wouldn't be a permanent 'fix' on the bike as it is built right now.
I have a ‘47 ladies Roadmaster with a similar chainring. The openings are reversed for reference. But if it was turned around, wouldn't I only be able to go in reverse?
I think I have the 'flatter' side facing inward, so I assumed that was correct.
