So I just acquired this 1960 twin straight bar, had it powder coated black and connected it with a very cool vintage Schwinn Springer front end. Some nice black wheels and polished Shimano 600 three-piece cranks with lots of tasty vintage Schwinn parts and we've got a nice bomber build thats all business. I'm waiting on my black MKS pedals... And ignore the duct tape on the down tube. That's temporary until I can find a nice little sumpin- sumpin to protect the frame from the Springer. I also need to hone out the seat post tube for some reason my post stops at about 3 in. Once I get that dialed in I'll add the chain and take its maiden voyage down to the Beach.

I finally finished it today. Finishing touches were the new pedals, chain and foam stopper frame protector for the Springer. Rides super smooth but it is definitely a Cruiser only... I'm 6 ft 240 lb and when I stood up to really crank it, I couldn't get any torque cuz the Springer was bouncing all over the place lol!!! But The Springer does work great just cruising along ...But sitting and cruising beachside... I couldn't have hoped for a better ride. 42 teeth front sprocket seems to be great gear for easy pedaling down the beach. Didn't check what the rear sprocket is. Next stop... Florida keys!!!
