This metal thing I found on the road., I keep trying to use it as spoke decoration., but it worked as a seat fob too., up off the right spring is a crusty old oval chain piece I just rolled by in a parking lot the other day., and a few days before that I found a Nifty Beer Bottle Opener in the Dollar Store Parking lot., definitely not the best beer, but it added something I think.
Oh., and the thing holding the plate on is a rubber equipment hookstrap off a work truck or something., just found a few days ago on the road too..slung it around the twin rear bars and slung it over the little MADE IN plate on the seat.
The seat Items , license and mudflap are still on it as seen here and above.
Custom made the License Bracket out of a few coaster brake arm brackets, and some washers.
[The one holding it to the bike is a Shimano]

Hey Flying Z did ya LED that light or not? I might have a crusty rusty headlight and tail light with brackets that would look good on this bike.

Its actually still Bulbed
[I know I know.. get with it already :banghead: ]
Its a two angle., but the upper bulb is either blown or just a little loose somewhere., so I only have direct right now.

Kinda got my 40's Ward Hawthorne complete for now will be doing some more small stuff as I see fit to do never really done with any bike that I build.

I hear ya FZ same here throw my name around like a football it's all good.
Was going through my collection of bikes to see what was in need of work....being I want everything original including the paint, usually just the search for correct missing parts, lubing and tires to make it a presentable rider again is and has been the goal. No repaint for my collection.
So I have a few with plenty of rust and patina.
39 yard art Closon find with some much needed added parts...this one is pretty ratty.
Changed up the tire color on this heavily paint damaged 46 Huffman. Was sporting Creme Duros as pictured early but, this look with the darker clays works well.
Then there is my 49 LaSalle badged Phantom...lots of patina on this one.
It's all about the Tanklights!!

Seems all I get is rusty patina'd bikes...wait I mentioned that earlier.

After a rim acid bath then a coating on boiled linseed. The a little cleanup with some polishing compound on the frame and fenders. No wax yet.
It's all about the Tanklights!!
