Springer Leg Bridge Really wish the first welds on this looked as good as the later ones. Took a few attempts to dial the settings in. This is the first of two cut/plug welds at the top of the springer legs. This was to reduce the ID to eventually fit a 3/8" bolt.

Springer Legs Continued The springer legs looked too wide to my eye running straight up from the rockers. I added an "S" bend using the pipe bender dies I've made previously. You can see those about halfway down this page.

Springer Legs To taper these I cut the tubing lengthwise on only one side. The tubes curved because of heat when welded. After cleaning up the welds I was able to re-straighten the legs by running them through the tubing bender.

Overview Shots with Seat I'm a little undecided with the final shaping so far. At times it looks too big and bulky to me, other times just right. Leaving it as is for now and moving on to the front end. Easier to go back and remove more foam than to add!
