    Firestone badged bikes

Looks Huffy. Serial number should start with an H# or #H...the number being the last number of the year. Decade determined by equipment/graphics.

Let's see those Kona HumuHumu & Kona A'Ha

    '93 & '94...no catalog entry. '95 & '96… the 7spd igh model was A'Ha No '97 humu in the catalog...just Stars n' Stripes A'Ha. '99 Humu 7... 2000… only single speed humu. 2001 & 2002 no humus in catalogs.

    Elgin swap for my Spaceliner

I might even have an SE stamped frame...but, can't remember for sure. If I do, that would make me doubly forgetful...and I'm not going to publicly admit that!

    Elgin swap for my Spaceliner

Brilliant. I remember that now...and there being some SD and a couple SE out there as well. I tried to make it a 'Special Edition', but it is actually just a Murray serial with an S instead of an M. I don't remember anyone coming up with a concrete reason why. SC same as MC which seems to be '38.

    Elgin swap for my Spaceliner

That's not a standard Murray number...may be a PD number, I'd keep removing paint  . Should be a '38-'39...MOS-D, MO D, or just MD.

Let's see those Kona HumuHumu & Kona A'Ha

Yes ... grabbed it out of the '98 catalog per Matti. The Nexus 8 didn't come out until the early 00's...I don't know how many years Humus had igh hubs as it's an odd choice for a serious off road bike. Shimano was pushing Nexus 7s on manufacturers like crazy from about '97 til the Nexus 8 came...

    J C Higgins

    Could be...this is a ~'47 Higgins...

New automatic Schwinn serial number lookup tool

The Hungarian ones have awful welds and I don't think they happened until the end of the '80s. I think @Wildcat called it...one of the last batches of Chicago Schwinns.

    J C Higgins

The black one is probably a Murray made '47 Higgins. The green one is ~'60-'61 Murray made Higgins Flightliner. If the fender is original to the bike and was originally painted...the bike is a '60. If it is original to the bike and chrome, it is a '61. Cool scores!

    Monochrome Motocross

Practically a dead ringer for the seat supports on the RamRod and others in the late '70s.
