    Thanks for not making me sound like an idiot for asking that. I realized what it was not long after asking the question and felt like an idiot. Anyone have any idea how to decode the serial number to figure out a year for this bike?

    Bottom Bracket

    So I'm assuming that my late 40's CWC Roadmaster doesn't have a sealed bottom bracket. I've noticed that when I ride it I get a little crunching sound that I believe is from the bottom bracket. Are there any good videos or step by step instructions on how to take one of these apart and rebuild...

    Ok, here's a photo of the drop outs I hope it helps. There is also a 530 after the serial number. Also I don't know what that metal thing is hanging off the rear drop outs. It says New Departure on it and is held onto the frame by a piece of wire.

    Pinstriping

    So I know you can buy pinstripe tape from an auto store, or use some thin 3M tape to mask off and paint pinstripes but there's one thing I don't understand. How to you put the tape down on a curve and keep the edges straight?
