Re: The Twin Sin if you're still thinking about fenders, you could try swapping them back to front. that would give you a long enough front to get down to the lower bar level, and the back would look a little bobber. You could just use two rear fenders too. Or, you could check out the hammered...

crank dragger! At 6'3", that varsity should be just about right.. what is it, a 25" frame with 26" mountain wheels? (or, 62cm with ISO 559 wheels?) ? That'd look righteous with a set of 2" tires and looong chrome fenders..

Triggered by the Pashley thread, here's a more recent take on my version of Sheldon Brown's Raleigh Superbe/Competition. The first time I saw his bike, I thought it made all the sense in the world. Sheldon's bike- I had done a lot of riding in high school, then stopped for about 5 years...

This is kindof a cross between a club/path racer, and a Superbe/roadster, based on a Raleigh Competition GS frame. Nervex lugs, Huret dropouts, Reynolds 531, and a big ol dent in the top tube. If I took off the fenders, flipped the bars, and put on some creme Schwalbes, it'd be very much like...

That is awesome! I've been thinking that the pedal forward/steering by linkage design is the way to get a semi-recumbent riding position done right. You've totally nailed it!
