    seat post clamp

You can buy a 7/8 clamp for around $5. if the top of your seatpost is 5/8 you can go to a hardware or home depot type store and get a 5/8-7/8 bushing/spacer for $2. Ive used them many times to use an existing seatpost. Buy the spacer and cut a slot in it to allow it to clamp onto the post.

    pinstripe decals or stickers

twistedchrome.com/ has some cool decals and you can order them in the colors you choose. I have used a few of them and they are good quality.

    fork steer tubes

The pics are of a 24 and 26 to see the height diff. the 24 is powder coated black and the 26 is metal flake silver. I have the 24" cut at 5-1/2 from the base of the bearing race right now. I could easily cut off the 1/2 inch if that is what you want. I could cut and thread the 26 to 5" as well...

Retro Ryder Headset- 1 1/8" Steerer in 1" Headsets

Sounds like a great option. I have switched a number of 1" fork frames out to 1-1/8" but I have reamed out the heatube to fit the 1-1/8" headsets. I only do it if the headtube has enough wall thickness to support it. This looks like a nice option. If you opt to do it let us know how it works out.

    fork steer tubes

Depending on what type of fork your looking for I may have one and I can cut it and thread it. I have a number of Schwinn forks, a few 24's and some 26's there isnt that much difference in height between the two but you would notice it if you ran a fender otherwise it just gives the front a...

    Coaster Brakes

having a set of cone wrenches helps, they are very thin so you can set you bearing preload and then tighten the outer locknut to help prevent it tightening/lossening when installed on the bike.

Dromang: a few of my collection

Yes that one is for my girlfriend and she loves Purple so....... the pic doesn't do it justice, it's black basecoat with mirage effect in the clearcoat and looks awesome in the sun with a blue/purple shimmer. The Spaceliner isn't quite finished yet, and was chrome but in bad shape so I spent...

    Questions on changing handlebar grips

Everyone has their own method of course, this is mine. For removal the compressor trick can work well, unless the grips dont have holes in the end or dont cover the end of the bar, in that case I us an old spoke flattened and rounded on the end to lift the grip then squirt rubbing alcohol in...

    measurement gurus, need help

If that is the case I have used sections of an aluminum can as a shim. Cut a strip of aluminum and roll it around the post until its snug (scissors work for this). Be careful of the edges, they will be very sharp, you can sand them to reduce risk of injury.

    measurement gurus, need help

if the seat tube Inner Diameter was .86 and it had a post that was too small, the top of the seat tube where the clamp is may have gotten crushed a bit. There is usually a vertical slot cut in the seat tube to allow it to compress around the seatpost so it may need to be opened back up a bit and...

    Crank spindles

it sounds like you are using a square taper bottom bracket, either there is something wrong with that side of the bottom bracket or you arent tightening the crank on enough. Square tapered cranks need to be tightened on to the point where the tapers bottom out as the crank is being pressed onto...

Adapt 1-1/8 threadless fork to standard frame?

Depending on the O.D. of the actual headtube you may be able to bore out the I.D. to fit a 1-1/8 headset (so you end up with enough wall thickness). However the thru dia. on the headtube may be too small depending on the wall thickness of the headtube, so the fork tube wont slide thru. I have...
