Not sure if they would work with another kind of strap or not. Would have to test them. That plastic strapping kind of molds to that shape. Love the fancy knots OJ tied. 😎

about time we got some leather. 😎. They look nice tie but you could probably make some of these fairly easily from some old spokes.

Wanted to check out how the gray brake cable casing look with the carbon. Idea was to use yellow to highlight the shift cables since they will be symmetrical then have the brake cables blend. Was going to use black but the ice gray was on sale and looked close to the frame color. Want...

Tank mounted is pretty boss. Long one might be nice too. You could find a nice doodad for a handle. T handle on the tank is righteous tho. 👍🏻 Will those work ok with the hub?

Looking good. Saddle might look better if you could take out the front spring? Chain guard looks great. Fenders going back on?

    Aug. ‘65 Schwinn Sting-Ray J33

'64 and '65 for sure. I'm not that knowledgeable either I just look through the catalogs. Don't see anything like that after '65. Deluxe was still available with the springer though. That might have been it until the Krates started.

Was referring to the black hoops. They have a nice profile. Don’t think I would attempt the discs.

Nice work on the mooneyes. Would love to put the old shine to a set of them rims. Shifters and gears. Now you’re talking my lingo. 😎

Super sweet. 😎 That’s kind of the look I’m going for. Sort of a back date. Don’t know why they cover all the alum and carbon these days.

Noticed the sneaker thing as soon as I saw the pic too. Re-installing these was indeed a nail biter. Anvil is too big to fit into the stops so had to improvise. Grabbed a couple slot car axle bushings for spacers. Soon as I finished the test pull those were long gone so had to switch to...

I like it both ways. I think the 2 tone on the repaint really sets it off.

When I first rode my trike on the street it felt like it was leaning but I later discovered it was just the crown of the road surface which becomes very noticeable. On a related note I used some cheap handlebar cross braces to brace the axle. They also made it easy to get everything squared up.

Front wheel might be cool if you had some long triple trees.

    Matti Scores!!

Think that’s the first time I’ve seen a fondue pot on here. Some nice finds Matti. Dig the vintage mtb goodies.

One thing that was (still is) a bit of a nail biter was the removal of the cable stops so I could work on removing the finish. Messaged OJ and he was able to talk to one of his buds at the Trek store he worked at and confirmed removing them was a fairly ordinary procedure. Just need to drill...

Really nice looking ride. Interesting proportions. I keep thinking it's a 20 inch bmx bike when I look at it.

OMG 2 days as a page 2 slacker. Let's see some more of that stash. :nerd: Got anything cooking on this? You going to paint it?

Been noticing a few on here that have gotten my attention as possible candidates. Since I'm trying to make it more of a cruiser something comfy might be nice. Option #1 Aged leather might look cool on the rat fiber and the springs would provide a nice comfy ride. This one kind of grabs...
