    Kasual Klunker

Your coaster looked like it was fine in your video. Does your crank spin nice and free without the chain? Do the pedals spin freely. How is the front hub? If all of your bearings are working well then we get to spoke tension and tires. If spokes are loose then the wheel will not roll...

This klunker is turning out so nice. Good job on this build so far.

    Kasual Klunker

The biggest thing that happened with Repack and other NorCal klunker events is that a group of framebuilders got involved with better frames and forks for the klunker riders. A new bicycle market was born and someone noticed it and started building for that market. We were riding off road in...

    please help

Tu foto de los números no salió lo suficientemente bien como para que yo la leyera. Copie los números y publíquelos en este sitio. Es posible que usted mismo pueda consultar en Internet los números de serie de Huffy.

    50, Skinny, and Single

OddJob it is a pleasure to read your posts and enjoy your company, online of course. Keep up the positive and enlightening posts about your exploits and I'll keep reading them with a little comment here and there. I think you built a great bicycle with your Schwinn Racer build.

    Italian Roast Espresso

It has been so long since the name Frejus has graced my memory cells. Brought back a flood of memories from the late 60's early 70's when Frejus bikes were being raced and I raced against them. Thanks for the pleasant memory jog moleman.

    Firestone Cruiser Klunker Build

The price and age of frame puts it squarly in Rod Rod territory. I love Girvin forks. I end up walking uphill at times but up you must go to go down. Really looking forward to your build. Good luck.

    Got Gears?

I'm not sure you have enough gear choices. More is better.

    Got Gears?

Sorry to hear that the last 3 years have been very hard on you and your loved ones. I loved my father in law and was very sorry to see him go. Covid and all the rest has just been a pile on. Your Shimano M591 rear derailleur is very similar to the type of Shimano MTB derailleurs I use. I...

    The Vacation

That's a much better welding job than the original repair. Everything was repaired back in the day. It was cheaper and expected. Good to see your expertise giving new life to this 75+ year old bike. Looking forward to where you go with this.

    Ulu’s Bike Update

Very clean looking project. Good looking bicycle. Good to hear that it can be ridden for distance and that it is quite fast. Probably surprise some bicyclists on their racer type bikes. Good job.

    Jude's finds

Not wanting to reveal my age those tire cleaners from the 70's or so were designed to knock off a glass/metal/thorn before the tire got a complete revolution. This hopefully would keep it from getting driven through the tire and causing a flat. The brake locks are actually meant to open your...

    Suspension fork on a cruiser

Converted a Trek 7000 series hybrid bike from a 1" threaded to a 1 1/8" threadless steerer tube. It was fairly easy but all hinged on finding a headset that would fit into the head tube properly for the 1 1/8" steerer tube. Generally a Chicago built cantilever frame would have a 32.7mm inner...

The Shelbinator. 37 Shelby Y Frame Muscle Truck

What a sweet wheelie bar. At my age I more or less imagine riding a wheelie but the bar would help other people imagining me riding a wheelie.

The Shelbinator. 37 Shelby Y Frame Muscle Truck

Glucosamine Chondroitin is what I use for hip pain. I have found that if GC is going to help you you'll know in a week of use. I use a 3x dose with one pill a day. This has kept a bad hip at bay for over 30 years. If I stop taking GC my hip starts hurting so bad that I can't walk.

This admonition is a mite late for me but thanks anyway.

    What's your "go-to" bike?

Love the color choices and the chainguard on this bike.

    What's your "go-to" bike?

Disc brakes are very powerful for very little grip force on the brake lever. Ride for a while and then you realize its dragging a little bit. Adjust so it doesn't drag, ride some more and again it is dragging. I find that its best application is on my e-bike where the battery can help me drag...

    What's your "go-to" bike?

I own a 1981-2 Schwinn Sports Tourer which looks surprising like your frame from the same era. When I got it the paint job was just like yours. I had two water bottle bolt holders installed and repainted but otherwise very similar.

    What's your "go-to" bike?

I watched this video in horrid fascination. I hope you are OK after Mr. Yellow got done running you down. I always try to keep riding as fast as I can when a dog starts attacking. But I've been forced to get off the bike and use it as a wall between the dog and I. I've gotten good at kicking...
